Whether you are re-sitting exams or taking them for the first time, we welcome you to register as a private candidate. We have limited capacity, all places are given on a first-come, first serve basis.

For candidates to enrol for examinations, they are required to attend the centre in person to fill out the required forms. Kindly note, if the candidate is U18, they will need to be accompanied by an adult.

If a candidate is carrying forward any element of their exam from their previous sitting, they must have their UCI number. The component cannot be carried forward without it.

The deadline stages for each season this academic year is below. The stage a candidate enrols at correlates to the cost of the total exam – see fees section below.
November 2025 Deadlines – Select GCSE Exams/GCSE Re-Sits
Summer 2026 Deadlines – All GCSE/A-Level Examinations
The fee structure is charged per written paper. For example, GCSE AQA Mathematics (8300H) consists of 3 written papers totalling £390. Speaking components are charged at the same rate as a written paper.
Payment plans are not offered for examinations – all fees are due up front. Alpha Tutorials does not have a card machine on site, payments are taken by either Bank Transfer or Cash.
A few examinations have a ‘non-examined assessment’ which is internally moderated. Unfortunately, Alpha Tutorials does not have moderators for many of these are unable to host a large amount of examinations that has an NEA component.
If candidates are re-sitting, the exam board may allow a carry forward option for this segment from a previous sitting meaning only the written papers will need to be sat – this can be accommodated for candidates.
For GCSE English Language we have speaking assessors who may carry out the speaking component.

Unfortunately, candidates who require Access Arrangements cannot be accomodated at Alpha Tutorials this year – we have been unable to find a suitable someone to carry out the assessments.
